Job Title: Assistant Manager

Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 annually (Full-time)

Overview:
Universal Healthcare Management Services is seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as Assistant Managers at our new shelter. This role offers a chance to make a real difference in a dynamic, fast-paced environment focused on providing shelter and support services. We are hiring for positions across various levels, from management to frontline staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Shelter Manager in daily operations and decision-making processes.

  • Oversee and mentor frontline staff, including Life Skill Workers, to ensure smooth functioning of the shelter.

  • Help create a positive, welcoming environment for all shelter residents.

  • Assist in developing and implementing shelter programs aimed at promoting residents' well-being.

  • Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and inventory management.

  • Address any resident concerns or emergencies promptly and effectively.

  • Ensure compliance with shelter policies and regulations.

  • Act as a liaison between residents, staff, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree

  • Leadership experience in human services, social work, shelter management, or a related field is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage teams and work with diverse populations.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of those in need.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

  • Previous experience in shelter operations or human services is a plus.
